Jorge Rybar, was born in Czech Republic, he attended Prague University where he obtained the degree of Doctor in Laws.  He emigrated to Guatemala in 1945 and founded Guateplast, S.A., the first plastic factory in Central America.

 

Starting with a line of plastic combs, he developed throughout the years a variety of products that today can be found in every guatemalan home.

 

Don Jorge,  as everyone affectionately called him, was a dinamic and creative man.  He was always a step ahead in the innovation of products for the consumers.  Even though he was a very busy man, he always managed to have time to listen to everybody.

 

He will always be our inspiration, for being such a visionary man.
